4x4 pickups Class IV & Class VII |

As a reminder ALL 4x4 pickups (eg new shape Navarra crew cab) with a design gross weight ("DGW"), shown on the vehicle plate, over 3000kg and up to and including 3500kg, fall into Class VII for MOT purposes. Some dispensation was given to "dual purpose" vehicles falling into this category where no unladen weight data was available (eg some older American pickups), and were tested as Class IV. We have been advised by VOSA that this dispensation will be removed early 2010 and ALL vehicles meeting the Class VII MOT weight criteria will be tested as Class VII.
